Harbour Vale School is committed to tackling and preventing homophobic, bi-phobic and transphobic bullying.
The Public Sector Equality Duty requires all schools to eliminate discrimination, advance equality of opportunity, and foster good relations between people.
The Equality Act 2010 lists ‘gender reassignment’ and ‘sexual orientation’ as protected characteristics. As a school we have a duty to make sure that our students are not discriminated against because they are LGBTQ+.
If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to email our LGBTQ+ Champion, Kelly Knight: kelly.knight@harbourvale.dorset.sch.uk
